Teach 2 Reach Capstone Professional Development Day Facilitation

Facilitated STREAMing Culture and Resilience in the Classroom for nineteen (19) new teachers who had completed the Teach 2 Reach project. In collaboration with Northeastern State University, ICI oversaw a Makers Fair where participants explored three stations with technology and lesson plans utilizing the technology followed by Dr. Fuller demonstrating how these technologies and lesson plans may be utilized in the classroom.

ICIs Professional Development Speed Dating lunchtime activity allowed participants to move from station to station in 3-minute intervals and discuss what they learned in the morning sessions, what excites them about teaching, what fears they have about their first day of teaching.

ICI facilitated a STREAM-based resilience session with the participants. Each participant completed a STREAM-based resilience lesson plan to take with them at the end of the day. ICI created and disseminated STREAM Toolkits which contained low-tech to high-tech items for use by each participant as they launch their teaching careers.
